Boat Checklist
(minimum included but not limited to the following) |
1. Fuel Boat
2. Fill Water tanks
3. Check sails, battons, Lazy jacks, sail ties, pulleys and Roller-furling
gear. Boom, gooseneck, sheets, and halyards.
4. Dock lines, Cleates, Fenders, Boarding Ladder, steps
5. Two winch handles
6. Funnel, spare oil, engine water, WD40, transmission oil, filters, impellers.
7. Emergency tiller, hatch boards, stanchions, lifelines, horseshoe or throwable
device, life jackets sufficient for crew, Flares.
8. Bimini straps or remove.
9. Propane sufficient for trip and turned off.
10. Windless operable, anchor & chain sufficient, boat hook.
11. Compass and Compass light, steering b rake, Auto pilot, Flashlight and
extra batteries. Depth, Speed.
12. Bilge pumps (2) and manual with accessible handle. Pump filters clean
and check bilge.
13. Fresh water pumps and clean filters.
14. Sump umps in heads and clean filters. Heads operable.
15. Pots, Pans, and galleyware sufficient for crew.
16. VHF and other communication devices checked.
17. Electrical check, lights, radio, navigation lights. Alternator charging,
Genset, serviced and checked. Batteries hold a charge.
18. Engine serviced, mounts checkd, oil change, impeller, belts checked.
Tachometer, overheat & oil alarm/light.
19. All seacocks closed (except engine) and double hose clamps checked.
20. Sufficient Charts and Guides for route. Rules of Road on board if USCG
registered. Minimum Tools required. Multimeter.
21. First Aid Kit.
22. Condition of bottom and prop. Hatches- cracks and anticipated leaks.
Refrigeration sufficient. |
